The Oakland A's Bring Christmas To Families In Need

Feb 4, 2019 | by SNW

Every year The Salvation Army helps make the holiday season brighter for families in need. This year an extra special group of guests surprised children from The Salvation Army Garden Street Shelter.

The Oakland A’s shortstop Marcus Semien, right-fielder Stephen Piscotty, and Stomper the mascot came to bring Christmas to the families living in the shelter. The staff set up a variety of games, which included face painting and a photo booth. Afterwards the families were presented with Christmas gifts and household supplies.

It was a wonderful time for all who attended! The Oakland A’s are a great partner to The Salvation Army in Alameda County.
